The Salmon Bothy Music Programme - Festival 2010

The Salmon Bothy is gradually establishing itself as a significant venue in the North East. This is reflected not only in the increasing stream of visitors to the Museum and clients to the Family History Facility but also in the number and variety of events ‘Upstairs at the Bothy’. The latter include not only an ever-expanding range of groups and clubs but also concerts, book launches, exhibitions, corporate events, weddings and the increasingly popular Bothy Talks. Details of the busy programme are available on the website that also has links to the Bothy’s various social networking places. http://www.salmonbothy.org.uk

Traditional Music Workshops offered at the Salmon Bothy during the Festival are funded by Banff and Buchan Arts Forum. The details for the Bothy Music Programme during the Festival are given below. Workshops are free of charge with admission to the Festival but it is advisable to book a place to avoid disappointment on the day. It doesn't require a fabulous voice ...it requires "getting inside and understanding what you're singing, and working on ways to interpret the story”.
