Tannahill Weavers – Frequently billed as Scotland’s finest folk band, the Tannahills deliver a diverse repertoire that reflects Scotland’s fine musical heritage with fantastic energy and delicacy as appropriate to the tune or song. The boys play guitar, flute, bagpipes, bodrahn and fiddle .

Sileas – Mary Mc Master and Patsy Seddon have delighted audiences world wide for two decades, with wonderful harp and fiddle music and songs, traditional and contemporary in Gaelic and English.

Elsa McTaggart is a native of Aberfeldy who has travelled widely and is now based in Grand Canaria. She is a very talented multi instrumentalist and fine singer songwriter. Her voice has been described as having the range of a cruise missile. A wonderful young artist who is on the way to the top of her profession.

De Kinkels – the band were formed in 1994 in Etten Leur and have travelled and played extensively in Europe. Their brand of folk/jazz/blues is a real blast and their sessions are often described as one huge party. These folk are destined to party long and hard all weekend and are sure to pull you under their spell.

Craig Souter

Craig Souter is a native of Portsoy who left for a career in music at the age of 19. He now returns home to launch his first CD of his own compositions Vai Dolorosa which is bound to get loads of air play and will be available for sale this weekend. Look out for Veronica and Bruce, his proud parents with boxes of CDs for sale !

The Keelers are a Tyneside based band of singers who formed in 1986 to sing when The Tall ships race visited Newcastle. They have a vast repertoire of songs, mostly but not exclusively about the sea. They are also to deliver a great workshop on Nelson’s preparations in the lead up to Trafalgar.

Robin Laing –known as Scotland’s Whisky Bard, Robin is in great demand at home and abroad for his vast knowledge of Scotland’s national beverage. He tells tales and sings song of our great spirit and is a ‘must hear’to get you in fine spirit.

Shepheard, Spiers and Watson. Giants of the Scottish Traditional Music Scene for many many years, the lads are fantastic performers and have a vast knowledge of their subject. Some of this knowledge will be shared with us all over the weekend.

The Forsyths are from Westhill, Aberdeen and include Kirsten on fiddle, Callum on guitar/border pipes and Ally on piano and guitar. Participants at the Centre of Excellence in traditional music at Plockton they perform session tunes, old favourites and original compositions, each as unique and divers as the next.

Alex and Madeline Green

Alex Green and Madeline Miller, this duo have played at all the main Scottish festivals as well as on tours in France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Brazil but now enjoy a quiet retired life in Portknockie.  Great friends of the Festival, we’re delighted to have them with us again
